The Association of Danish Holiday House Letters was founded in 1977 with the following objectives

- To work for a united and strong industry

- Strengthening the collegial understanding and cooperation between industry practitioners at home and abroad

- To defend the commercial and political interests through membership meetings or other appropriate activities

- To work towards the general improvement of the industry's reputation, including by providing and maintaining ethical as well as commercially viable conditions in the industry.

The Association of Danish Holiday House Letters’ members are a mix of agencies with houses across Denmark, local and regional agencies, and tourist information centers with letting activities.

The Association of Danish Holiday House Letters’ statutes commit members among other things to follow the General Assembly adopted resolutions and agreements, including the association's rules on "Rules of Conduct in the Holiday House Rental Business."

The Association of Danish Holiday House Letters also maintains a good working relationship with other organizations within the Danish tourism and VisitDenmark and the Danish Tourism.

The Association of Danish Holiday House Letters is hearing entitled in matters relating to rental of holiday homes in Denmark.
